Basic Raglan Baby Cardigan Sweater

Designed by Keya Kuhn of

You can make this Basic Raglan Baby Cardigan Sweater from 200-300 yards of any DK weight yarn with a gauge of 6.5 rows of 6 stitches of stocking stitch = 1 inch.

This striped cardigan sweater can be used to create a sweater that fits a child of 0-3 months, 3-6 months, or 6-12 months old. You’ll need US 6 (4mm) and US 7 (4.5mm) circular needles. A US6 (4mm) with a 16″ cable would be helpful for completing the sleeve cuffs. To finish the sweater you’ll need 5 or 6 (3/4 inch) buttons.
