Rainbow Granny Tote

Designed by Cheryl D. Floyd of

What a bright and happy take on granny squares! And using them to create a colorful, roomy tote is even better.

With handles and a drawstring, Cheryl’s tote would be great for carrying your projects, your groceries or just about anything. Designed with the colors of the rainbow in mind, you could pick your own 7 favorite colors to make this project truly your own.

Cheryl used Red Heart Super Saver and Lionbrand Pound of Love yarns to complete her tote. You could use any weight yarn for this project, just make sure all 7 colors are similarly sized.

This is an intermediate level design due to the color-change joins and the overall construction. You’ll also need to be familiar with slip stitch, chains, double crochet and treble crochet stitches. If you are a UK, AUS or NZ crocheter; no worries, she’s provided a stitch conversion chart for you as well.
