Keya’s designed this elegant shawl for either DK or worsted weight yarn. It’s a simple bias-knit pattern with openwork lace edging. She considers it a project suitable for advanced beginners.
To make a verge shawl you’ll need approximately 560 yards of the yarn of your choice. Keya’s sample piece was made with 1 skein of Miss Babbs Yowza Light Worsted in the Believable colorway. The finished garment should measure 58 inches (112 cm) X 44 inches (94 cm).
Swatches should measure 4 inches with 16 stitches and 19 rows of garter stitch (blocked).
You’ll need a 24-32″ long 5.5 circular needle and a tapestry needle to complete this project.
