Woven Braid Ski Hat

Designed by Cheryl Beckerich of

Soft and warm and quite stylish is the Woven Braid Ski Hat by Cheryl Beckerich. This knitted hat pattern was designed with intermediate level knitters in mind. It’s started with a provisional cast on and then is worked as a flat band.

You can use any DK or light worsted yarn for this project. Or, you can use the lovely yarn Cheryl used in her sample – Potion Yarns Temptress DK. You’ll need 220 yards of yarn. You’ll need a 16″/40cm circular needle, double pointed needles and a spare needle all in a size 7 or 4.5mm (or as needed to obtain gauge). You’ll also need some waste yarn for the provisional cast on, a cable needle, stitch markers and a tapestry needle.
